Handy VS2003 tip

When working with a very long line of code, have you ever wanted to select a part of the string with your mouse, but by accident the cursor moves into the line above. Then all of the sudden the whole previous line is selected and the screen scrolls over to the end of the line above.

Very annoying, yes?

Here's a nice way to prevent that from happening - hit <Alt> while you are selecting. This puts you into block selection mode so no scrolling occurs.

Sahil Malik hit the road

Sahil Malik has left DotNetJunkies and gone to CodeBetter.com. This so so sad and absolutely unnecessary. We all know why. I'm typing this post in notepad at the moment because DNJ is giving me one of my favorite errors...

"Timeout expired."

Things can't go on like this. I've heard that Scott is releasing a new version and that it would have been implemented mid January. No luck yet apparently, so I hope we get this sorted out real soon.
