I haven't been blogging for the past week, last Friday my Dad passed away. I normally don't like to blog anything personal, but Dad has had such a profound impact on my approach to life and work that a failure to mention him seems wrong.
I had the honor to deliver the Words of Appreciation at the end of the funeral mass. With the editing help of my wife and long talks with my brothers and sister, the speech came together less than 2 hours before the mass. The hardest part was cutting out material to keep things focused, I could have gone on forever talking about the things he taught me.
