Microsoft SLP Services

Microsoft Announces SLP Services to Streamline Software Development and Sales

Introducing innovative solutions that help ensure a return on your software development investments. By managing the entire software lifecycle—from idea to revenue—we enable you to more effectively protect, package, license, sell, and control the use of your software.

At the Expo Hall reception last night I had a beer in one hand and a take-out carton of Chinese noddles in the other. So I found an counter top to rest my beer while I put the chop sticks to work transferring the noddles from the carton to my mouth. Then some literature on the counter caught my eye, Microsoft SLP Services: Building a bridge between software and software business

Wow, I thought as the noddles rolled down, guidance for ISV's on how to successfully make and sell software.

In a few months time we will find SLP Services included in our MSDN Universal subscriptions along with the Visual Studio Team Suite.

Windows Vista Hardware Assessment Tool 2.0

Windows Vista Hardware Assessment 2.0 Public Beta Now Available for Download!

I had a nice chat with Baldwin Ng yesterday at the Windows Vista booth in the Denver convention center. He's extremely enthusiatic about The Windows Vista Hardware Assessment Solution Accelerator, it's a quick and easy Tool for determining if the computers on your network are ready for Windows Vista and the 2007 Microsoft Office System.

Digipede is Innovation Partner of the Year

This year I skipped the Awards ceremony at the Microsoft Partner conference, with an Expo Hall beer opportunity and the big ISV bash I just didn't have the time.

People keep asking me how is the conference for you and my reply is usually it's not as fun as TechEd  because of all the people I know there.

Then I bump into the Windows CE Yoda, Paul Yao and later in the evening met John Powers at the ISV Party. I've known John for about three years, his software is called the Digipede Network and it's grid computing on the dotnet platform.

So I asked John if Digipede had a booth and he said weren't you at the Awards ceremony tonight?  Digipede won ISV/Software Solutions, Innovation Partner of the Year

A great company with a simple solution that enables improvements in application performance by utilizing all the computing power on your network.

I'm so happy that they are finally being recognized and rewarded, this is an outstanding achievement.  Microsoft Innovation Partner of the Year, innovation is what gets me out of bed each morning...
