A big free festival of hacking, camping - in tents, music, and good times, sponsored by the Yahoo! Developer Network. For now all they ask is that you simply sign up and express your interest. Based on response, the'll figure out a way to be inclusive as possible modulo space and logistical constraints. So if you're in Silicon Valley or anywhere near the Valley join us by signing up - versus just crashing the party - so the Yahoo's can plan accurately, print out your name badge, etc. Hackers/builders will get priority -- as they should!
This works out perfect for me as I'll be in San Francisco for the Intel Developer Forum from September 26-28, then in Santa Clara at the ARM Developer's Conference October 3 -5. The past two years I was in San Francisco at this time for the Web 2.0 conference and the weather was wonderful, but now the've gone and moved it to November, not much luck in that.
