Community Server at Mix06

Community Server session at Mix06!

It's official, there will be a break-out session on Community Server at the Microsoft Mix 06 conference!

Building an Interactive Community Platform with ASP.NET
In this session, we explore how Microsoft technologies can be used to build a cutting-edge "sticky" community platform with .NET. See examples of how RSS is used in new and creative ways, such as "secure" RSS, dynamic RSS search feeds, and aggregate blogs, in addition to real-world uses of AJAX to simply complex Web UI.

Rob Howard is presenting and it's going to be a Tips & Tricks style presentation. The Tips & Tricks format means slide-demo-slide-demo-slide-demo as many times as possible in the session time slot showing how ASP.NET enables people to build some really cool stuff. In other words, it will be fast, fun, and packed with great information!

ScottW is going to be at Mix06 and he would like to organize a Community Server get together. If you are attending and are interested in CS 2.0, please drop him a note.

MIX06: What? Why? How?

Recently, we announced a new conference, Mix06, which is unlike any other Microsoft conference you've been to. In this video, Jennifer Ritzinger, talks to some of the thinkers behind the conference. You'll see Anthony Weeks, the artist who drew the poster you saw in the last MIX video.

I watched the video and it's apparent that the organizers of Mix06 aren't exactly sure what this conference is all about other then the Web....does anyone really know what the web is all about?

The Mix06 website is built on Community Server 2.0 and there is a huge number of us who publish on Community Server everyday. So we'll meet-up in the neon city of the desert to talk about the next version of this platform and learn all the possibilities of new designs with skin'en and CSS.
