Silicon Valley Adventure

Jerry Kaplan thought the pen was mightier then the mouse and so he created Go Corporation in 1987 to develop an ink enabled platform.

Much of the enmity between Silicon Valley and Microsoft can be traced back the demise of Go Corp.

Jerry Kaplan was subpoenaed to testify last year in a class-action suit against Microsoft in Minnesota. Over the course of a few days testimony solid evidence was reviled about Go Corporation from Microsoft internal emails.

Attached is a packet of information I have collected on Go [Corp.]...When you turn on a Go computer, the user sees something that looks like a notebook. ...I think we can whip something up in a year that embodies some of these ideas.

I sent a memo to you last week which had a bunch of info on Go Corp. Turns out some of it was confidential and I was not supposed to make copies. Could you please return all of it to me so that I can destroy it?

Jerry is so determined to have his day in court he went to Lucent Technologies and bought back the rights to Go Corp. This lawsuit differs from all the others because it’s so personal, lots of people have known what happened between Go and Microsoft and now they have a smoking gun.
