I just caught Bill Gates Keynote at the International CES in Las Vegas and like most people who go there he’s not leaving town a winner. Conan O’Brian was hired to help Bill, but he was useless. The demo Gods were laughing at the CES tonight, makes you wonder if they ever rehearse. Bill did manage to tell the crowd that the PC is still central for the digital lifestyle, but we will just be having more devices.
Halo 2 is phenomenal; $$$ gaming is becoming more social (you just can’t see the people you’re playing with).
Rich community, not where Bill and Conan live, but rather email, Instant Messaging, and blogging, YES BLOGGING! That is quite phenomenal.
The quality of the new digital wireless cameras is phenomenal, but every attempt to sync with Windows Media Center failed.
What is really phenomenal is the way that people are coming on-line with XBOX Live to play Halo 2 (I agree, it is so cool) 69 million hours of game play in less then two months!
The highlight was a digital photo of Bill from the night before after getting digitally drunk he wakes up in bed with an Apple laptop, sorry I didn’t get a screen shot.
The tabloid Tech press had been saying all week that Bill was going to announce Windows Mobile 2005, but he didn’t!
