Sasser worm

What You Should Know About the Sasser Worm and Its Variants

Microsoft teams have confirmed that the Sasser worm (W32.Sasser.A and its variants) is currently circulating on the Internet. Microsoft has verified that the worm exploits the Local Security Authority Subsystem Service (LSASS) issue that was addressed by the security update released on April 13 in conjunction with Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-011.

May 4 webcast on the worm: IT professionals can get a technical status report on Sasser by watching the "Technical Update on the Sasser Worm" webcast.

BizTalk Server 2004

Web Services 5 years away? So says the high flying, snazzy dressing “visionary” keynote speaker at yesterday’s presentation on BizTalk Server 2004 in New York. I asked him if he has ever used RSS, he said “what”, I said “really simple syndication”, “oh, you mean that bloggggger protocol”. “Yes”,  I said, “it’s XML and I use it everyday”. He went into great detail about the difficulties business people have communicating to IT people as if an SA is suppose to understand BizTalk Server just because he is an IT guy. I put up my hand and was ignored, so I blurted out the word “Architect”, big companies today require a management level System Architect who understands business processes . “NO” said the snazzy dressed “luminary”. Thankfully he was done for the day, more concerned with his taxi ride to JFK then BizTalk. Call me “Hari” Ananth Krishna took it from there and gave an exceptional technological tour for developers of BizTalk. The audience became animated asking questions and helping Ananth with his demonstrations. What a contrast, the “illuminator” from California, was lost in the Big City and “Hari” was very comfortable with his material and his new friends.
