A week ago two toilets in my house started leaking almost simultaneously and I had to spring into action. When I got to the pluming supply store I was dumbfounded by all the “standards”, one for every day of the month!
The definition of standards; “An acknowledged measure of comparison for quantitative or qualitative value; a criterion”. Criterion sounds like an alien being; do they have standards on other planets?
“Serving as or conforming to a standard of measurement or value”, like “regular” fries.
Thankfully we have the W3C, they look after all this stuff in their own sweet time (don’t ask who’s dime).
