Good Stuff

You can always tell a great speaker at a conference when other speakers come in to listen and this was the case at Billy Hollis Advanced Web Forms talk. Billy has what you could call a distinctive stile making the most out of his Tennessee twang and a tremendous amount of experience with Windows Forms, he makes it look so easy…

It was too bad Billy wasn’t available for the last assembly at DevConnections as his larger then life personality was needed. It seamed as if many attendees were on there way to the airport and those remaining were exhausted after long nights and early mornings. Our conference had been swamped by the Aqua Convention; they outnumbered us and were all around us, so we never really got a chance to connect as a group.

For me the workshops were worth the trip to Las Vegas, Kimberley Tripp in the pre-con was amazing and over one hundred attendees agreed. In the post-con not only were we lucky enough to have Gert Drapers from Microsoft’s SQL team we had Bill Vaughn sitting in the first row to help out whenever the SQL stuff got into the CLR and .Net stuff, good stuff!
