DotNetNuke Webcasts and Books

DotNetNuke 3.x webcasts on MSDN

Russ ToolShed features DotNetNuke 3.0 in a series of webcasts available on MSDN.

As of the 15th of February 2005, here is the list. As and when new webcasts on this topic become available, I'll update this page.

Part 1 of 4 : Overview

This first webcast in the series will provide a general overview of DNN, including a survey of standard modules as well as a look at what's new in Version 3. The discussion will cover adding functionality with custom modules; site organization with page, module, and content mechanisms; roles and users; login mechanisms; and parent and sub-portals.

Part 2 of 4 : Installation and Configuration (Level 200)

This webcast will focus on installation and configuration as we walk you through the major steps in the process. The discussion will include a comparison of local vs. hosted installation, outlining the differences in administrative tasks and setup process for each approach. We will also cover parent and sub-portals, site URIs and alias strings, skinning and containers.

Part 3 of 4: Portal Management

Russ will be joined with co-host MVP and author Stan Schultes where they will provide a DNN configuration overview and discuss the advantages for managing DNN as a host or as a portal admin. Other topics to be covered include skinning, containers, logging and exceptions

Part 4 of 4 : Custom Module Development

This webcast will cover custom module development including project configuration, data architecture and providers, database creation and scripting, module configuration, code development and troubleshooting, packaging, deployment, logging and exceptions.

Thats the list for now. I'm going to check them out and if downloads are available, that will be even better
