Exam 70-300

I arrived at work today with the sinking feeling that I had forgotten something. I open outlook and check my calendar. I'm supposed to be sitting exam 70-300 (analyzing requirements and defining solution architectures for .NET) now (well....5 minutes ago). With so many other things going on I haven't studdied for this in 2 months. Before than I had probably done 2 - 3 hours tops. Gulp. It was a free exam from Microsoft (for existing MCSDs) but I would still have liked to pass. Oh, well - at least I will know for next time what is on the exam. I jump in a cab and arrive about 15 minutes later at the testing centre. After a few formalities I'm in there doing the test. 2 hours later I walk out. I PASSED! The score is nolonger listed, so I don't know by how much, but I keep my un-broken record of never failing a certification exam, and I don't have to fork over the A$ 245 to re-sit the test.

For those would-be test takers out there: The exam was very much like it's pre-decessor 70-100. As usual I found many of the questions ambiguous, but I guess that's why it says "choose the most correct answer". On the one hand this whole saga may confirm some peoples thoughts that certifications are easy etc etc. On the other hand analyzing requirements and defining solution architectures for .NET IS what I do, and have done for the past year and a half or so. I think if this had been more of a "technical" exam I wouldn't have had a chance of passing this way.
