Training
Where I've been and .Net Hobbyists

I've been out to sea the last couple of weeks.  The next few months are going to be spent mostly at sea.  The good news is that it's giving me a lot of time to study for more MCP exams. I'm working on 70-306 right now. It'll also saves me some gas money.  Whew! $1.66/gallon now!

Being a .Net Hobbyist has some advantages. For one when I get home at night I haven't been coding all day.  I'm more likely to dig into code at night and learn more.

No TV for Jim

I was curious, so I plunked down the cash for a membership at Learning Visual Studio .NET. I really like the training videos there.  Last night I found myself watching training video after training video. So much that I shut off my TV, which usually is on no matter what I'm doing. I learned a lot in that one session and I've only scratched the surface of what's available to me there.  I recommend it for people who are learning .NET and Visual Studio. Good Stuff Maynard.*

I wonder what this is going to turn out to be.

70-310 exam Prep

I mentioned the other day that I was preparing to take the Web Services Exam 70-310 and presto others start talking about it.  I'm not saying I was the spark for that conversation.  But it sure was handy to have all of those links right when I need them. Tim's Exam Links looks especially promising.

Reports Starter Kit

I'm back from vacation finally.  Back to getting up at 5am for work again. UGH!

If you haven't checked them out yet the Reports Starter Kit is well worth the time.  I demo'd a site today that used a lot of the methods I learned about in the Drill Down Report from that kit.  Blew away the boss and everyone else who saw it.  Unfortunately it's on SIPRNET so if I showed it to you I'd have to kill you. Anyway thanks to everyone who had a hand in putting that and the other Starter Kits together.  Great stuff there.

Here's a little anti-spam app that I love.
