Nice title ehh? heh =]
Background: Googles Gmail supports this plus email address system where you have yourname+tag@gmail.com. For example, mine is henrys@gmail.com, if I signed up at xul.meetup.com (which i did today) I would put henrys+meetup@gmail.com to be able to set up special filters, etc...
Now, what my friend and I have learned is you are limited to eight characters after the plus. Any more than eight will be truncated. Also we have learned that some email systems do not support the plus system and may not send you the mail so be careful with this.
Heres some trial crapola:
henrys+a+b+c+d+e+f+g+h+i@gmail.com turns into: henrys+a+b+c+d
and
henrys+test+longggggg@gmail.com turns into: henrys+test+lon
UPDATE: Spellcheck did not mind the word 'crapola'
UPDATE 2: If you feel like I do about wanting more than eight chars for the tag, email google to request this like I have.
