EU Decision Sucks. Period.

Last night I finished installing Media Center 2003.   Then it was on to the updates.   Then I had to install the WiFi driver.   Then I noticed Internet Explorer was not installed and so I have to install that too.   Wierd huh?   Well that is not the point of this rant.   I am getting tired of having to put in this CD and install this over and over.   Netscape wants me to DL the browser of my choice and install it.   Then Real Crapworks and the EU want me to DL and install the Media Player of my choice.  Then some other whiner wants me to download and install the mail client of my choice, and then the calculator of my choice, and the text editor of my choice!!!! Argh!!!  I like the way it was, where I could take off what I didnt want.   This go find and install seperatly everyhing is a pain in my butt.

So yes. EU, I think you are very self centered and egotistical with your decision.

Old news, yes, but didnt hit me hard until last night.

PS.  I got the Longhorn SDK on and compiled my first XAML that needed to be compiled! YAH XAML and Longhorn are awesome!   I only did one compile because it was a pain to use the on screen keyboard to command line XamlC.exe. heh, I only had one keyboard between two computers and was using the keyboard to install, install, install, install, install Media Center.

Manage Multiple OPML? Me.XML?

I wish I could manage more than one OPML easily from one place.   One OPML for work, one for home, one for my mobile device, one for my smart watch, one for my phone, one for my two way, etc...   I wish when i subscribed to a source I could have the option to which OPML I want this feed put in.   Do I have to write this or is already done?

Also, Is there a Me.XML recommendation?  A xml file that has all my details that can be used by different things?   Like I maintain this file about myself, in turn, i can have a webpage about me built from this file.   I also can have a resume created from this file.  I also can get info about my vehicle, favorite restaurants, etc... based on this file?   Hmm, also, if I someone wanted to “electronically meet me” I can specify what info I want them to be able to access in this digital Me.XML file?   Now I really want one of these in my PIM's.

Whoa, this must be Friday.

New Programmer Fad?

Today, im going to go to my local office supply store and buy some iron-on printer paper.   They look like they come in packs of 10  8 1/2 x 11 sheets for about $10.

Other than making some XAML shirts!, heheh, i have some great digital photos I can iron on.   Maybe some custom graphics, or Google image searches! whoa! The limits seem endless!   Ill post a picture of some of the stuff i do.   Any one else want to send me pictures if they do the same I will post them here.

I cant wait to see the awe on the faces of my fellow working stiffs when I roll in Monday with an Avalon or Longhorn shirt!
