A Windows Media Center Open Source clone?
In the time of a Windows Media Center Mania (I think I'm one of the few guys that are not too much attracted on it) there's someone on the Open Source world that has start thinking to do something similar...
The result of this work is MediaPortal, a free open sourced Multimedia Center Software for Windows that turns your PC in a very advanced HTPC (Home-Theatre PC) and PVR/DVR (Personal/Digital Video Recorder). It allows you to listen to your favorite music and radio, watch all your video's and DVD's, view, schedule and record live TV and much more (obviously, this is what it promises to do 
).
What is interesting is that MediaPortal is an Xbox Media Center (XBMC) GUI ported to Windows from an XBMC co-founder, so it could be a promising project to observ with attention.
