Thunderbird 0.9 out

Yeah, my favourite email client is upgraded... Thunderbird 0.9 is now available for download!

Lots of new features in this release:

  • Saved Search Folders (alias Virtual Folders): this feature is terrible great! A Saved Search folder looks like a regular mail folder but when you click on it, it runs a search according to criteria that you've set previously and it displays a list of messages that match those criteria. For example, you could create a Saved Search folder that lists all the messages received from a certain person over the past 30 days, even if those messages are stored in different folders and subfolders.
  • Message Grouping: this feature lets you organize messages in the message list into self-contained groups according to attributes such as date, sender or priority.
  • Global Inbox
  • Comprehensive Data Migration
  • RSS Integration
  • Improved Privacy Controls
  • Improved Quick Search
  • For more information, you can see the release notes. Builds can be found on the Mozilla FTP server or at the Thunderbird website.

Really a great update... now I know what I've to do this evening...
