Curious

Why wouldn't you just cast the string to a datetime?

SELECT CAST('20050112' as DATETIME).

Seems like a lot of effort for no gain. Or am i missing something?

Finally

I know that this is long overdue, but, finally I have extracted my digit and commenced blogging.

Thanks to everyone for their patience while I was taking my time not doing anything about it. I promise now that I have finally made it this far I will endeavor to post at least once a week with my current doings and rantings…
