I got my first real inquiry for my crm software application today.
A guy from South Africa inquired about purchasing 11 licencses.
I've had a couple of emails and I also took a phone call from a bloke in Adelaide (South Australia) the other day.
But this one got me excited. Maybe something to do with the fact that it was an international inquiry.
It's a nice feeling!
Now, I've been around long enough to know that nothing will probably come of this but, the point is, it shows me that there is a real possibility that I can make some money out of this. Which is the whole point right.
Beta 1 is about 6 weeks off so the South African guy won't wait that long I would assume. I guess we'll see.
I'm thinking about making my product (another chance for a link CRM Software) free to any .Net developer who wants a copy and who is not a competitor of course.
Do you have any thoughts on that?

David Burke thinks that the GDay world podcast is “...fun but gratuitously vulgar”.

I'm listening to the RocknRollGeekShow podcast where Michael Butler invites a couple of friends around to his house for a jam session.
One of the bands on the bill was the Australian band The Angels they played “Looks like it comin down on me“ (Thats the line in the chorus).
I haven't heard that song for a long time and was reminder of the time I saw The Angels at “The Venue” in St.Kilda here in Melbourne.
If anyone remembers “The Venue”. The main room was on the first floor and had steel springs under the floor boards.
That night The Angels went off! As the crowd were rockin out the floor was actually moving a good 6 inches.
It felt like to was going to cave in.
I think about 6 months after that the place got commended.
The Angels were a great band check out the podcast it's alot of fun!
Well done Michael
I have it the movie that is
Now to find 2 hours to watch it.
I would like to thank Carl , Rory , Geoff and the staff at DotNetRocks for going to the effort of giving me 2 hours of geek TV.
The fact that I get mentioned in the show has nothing to do with it, really I swear!
Hopefully I'II see them DownUnder later this year for TechEd2005?
