If you happen to be in the Greater Hartford area this evening (9/26), I'll be speaking to the Connecticut .NET User Group
at 6:00. The topic will be "Team System in Action". The
expectation is that by now people have heard the high-level details of
Team System and are ready to see more of the features in use.
After a brief overview, we'll dive into a variety of client- and
server-side features.
The meeting runs from 6-8 at the Microsoft Farmington facility.
Hope to see you there,
Chris
Jeff Beehler, Lead Program Manager for VSTS, has an interesting post on the state of the Visual Studio Team System community. He describes the community programs that will receive the most focus over the coming year.
"We have a dozen community programs that we've selected to manage over the next year. We selected these based on the product team's ability to affect the outcomes and the expected impact on the community at large. Our overarching vision here is to:
- Foster a broad self-supporting community
- Create a feedback loop with customers
- Win the hearts and minds of customers
- Optimize the use of limited product team resources"
He provides a useful list of links to each of these programs that I encourage you to take the time to review.
