I'm happy to announce that the book I've coauthored, "Professional Visual Studio 2005 Team System", is now in stores! The 700 page book is a deep and technically-detailed dive into the many aspects of Team System and I believe is useful as both a cover-to-cover read and as a reference book.
Upon returning home yesterday, I found a box with my author copies of the book. It's a great feeling of satisfaction to see the physical results a lot of hard work (dating back to September of 2004!) But I wasn't the first to get the book. Ben Day, who had pre-ordered the book from Amazon, actually ended up having the book in his hands before I did!
I'm going to end up echoing the sentiments from Jean-Luc David's announcement post, but the authors on this effort were top-notch. Jean-Luc David, Tony Loton, Erik Gunvaldson, Noah Coad and Darren Jefford all did a great job providing very detailed chapters on the various aspects of Team System. The final product was made even better with the excellent support of the book's editors, assistance from many folks at Microsoft, echoing Jean-Luc's thanks to Rob Caron in particular, and some very detailed technical reviews. I'd especially like to thank Mickey Gousset for his thorough and insightful reviews.
