Announcing 'Professional Visual Studio 2005 Team System'

I have not been vocal about this to date, but since the Fall of 2004, I've been coauthoring the WROX title "Professional Visual Studio 2005 Team System".  I'm happy to say the book is now in the final stages of production and our work as authors is done!

It's been a lot of work, including many late nights and weekends.  I'm sure if I worked out the hourly pay it would be horrific, but I've learned a great deal and have met some very talented people, so I would absolutely make the same decision again.

The Amazon release date was a bit early, but from what I'm told, expect it in about 4-6 weeks.  In any case, it should be worth the wait because it won't be a "based on beta" title, but fully updated and accurate for the shipping versions of Team System.

Many thanks to Jean-Luc David for the opportunity to contribute to this effort.  We met at a Whidbey early adopter devlab at Redmond in 2004 and it's been great working with him ever since.  I've also enjoyed working with the editors, reviewers and the many people at Microsoft who helped throughout the process.

If you have any questions about the content or focus of the book, send me a note using the "Contact" link on my blog page.
