I hope the subject line gets the attention of the LinkedIn employee participants on this list.
Before I launch into my rant, please allow me to elaborate on the background, etc.
I have 5000+ contacts in my Outlook, etc. which I have imported into LinkedIn. Of these, over 1300 are "connect"able.
But since some of these are old/alumni contacts, etc. I have not yet initiated the boiler plate invitations to these ...
Anyway, the problem is every time I import my Outlook Address Book, there is no way of knowing if any of the new contacts are connectable.
What I am hoping for is "aging" of contacts, similar to the new connections on one's home page ... i.e. when a new contact is connectable, it is flagged *visually* as "new" for a certain period (after which it joins the the masses) so I can act upon it without having to wade thru the pages of old connectable contacts.
I fervently hope someone at LinkedIn is listening or working on a solution ... without which contact management could become unusable.
Open for discussion !
Now that it is out of my system, TGIF :)
